The Project

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) estimates up to 300MW of untapped geothermal power is available on Nevis. The Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis is committed to cut dependence on fossil fuels and reduce the cost of electricity in half.

With an established a goal to eliminate CO2 emissions from power generation, Nevis is committed to leverage its proven geothermal resources and become the greenest island on the planet. Nevis will be the first Caribbean island to utilize Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) binary power generation that utilizes a closed-loop system with carbon zero emissions.
